Before the polished graphics. Before the new logos. Before RADV became what it is today… there was this.
I came across another piece of early RADV history.
Looking at it now, I can see plenty of things we would design differently today. Our branding has changed. Our message has grown. We’ve learned a lot along the way.
But I also see something that hasn’t changed at all.
The purpose.
This was about bringing people together against domestic violence. It was about believing that ordinary people could make a difference. It was about giving survivors another voice and reminding them that somebody cared.
“Together We Can.”
Those were simple words, but they represented what I believed RADV could become.
Years later, I still believe them.
RADV has traveled a lot of miles since this graphic was created, and there are plenty more ahead.
Sometimes you have to look back at where you started to appreciate just how far you’ve traveled.
