Sometimes the hardest part of asking for help is knowing where to begin.
You may be living through abuse right now. You may have already left but still feel lost, afraid, or alone. You may be worried about a friend, family member, coworker, or neighbor and unsure how to help.
That is why we built RADV.org.
Riders Against Domestic Violence is not a shelter, law-enforcement agency, or legal service. We are a bridge—connecting survivors and the people who care about them with encouragement, information, and resources that may help them take their next step.
You do not have to read everything at once. Begin wherever you feel most comfortable.
Start With the Resources
Visit the Resources section when you need help finding survivor-support organizations, safety information, hotlines, legal resources, shelters, or other services.
Every survivor’s situation is different. A resource that is right for one person may not be right for another, so move at your own pace and consider what is safest for you.
If you believe your phone, computer, email, or internet activity may be monitored, use a safer device whenever possible. Remember that quickly closing a webpage may not completely erase your browsing history.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number when it is safe to do so.
Read the Articles
The Articles section is filled with encouragement, awareness, safety information, and honest conversations about domestic violence and healing.
Some articles may help you recognize controlling behavior that you could not name before. Others may remind you that what happened was not your fault. Some are simply there to help you make it through a difficult day.
Take what speaks to your heart. Return whenever you need another mile of encouragement.
Learn About RADV
Visit the About section to learn who we are, why RADV was created, and what it means when we say:
We Are the Bridge.
RADV was born from lived experience. I know what it feels like to remain silent, carry the pain inside, and believe no one would understand. This mission exists because survivors deserve to be heard, believed, respected, and connected with help.
Find or Follow a Chapter
The Chapters section shares how RADV is growing through local communities.
Our chapters and Riders Clubs are being built to raise awareness, support survivor-serving organizations, bring people together, and help survivors know they are not alone. You do not have to ride a motorcycle to support the mission. A willing heart can make a difference.
Wear the Mission
The Merchandise section gives supporters another way to help build RADV and spread its message.
When someone sees the RADV name, the grizzly paw, or the words “We Are the Bridge,” it can begin a conversation. That conversation may reach someone who has been waiting for a sign that help and hope still exist.
Contact Us
If you have a question about RADV, our chapters, or the mission, visit the Contact section.
Please remember that RADV cannot provide emergency intervention, legal representation, or professional counseling. What we can do is help point people toward information and established resources while reminding them that their story matters.
Share the Website
You may not know who around you is silently struggling.
They might never post about it. They might smile in public and cry when no one is watching. They may be afraid to ask for help—or they may not yet realize that what they are experiencing is abuse.
Sharing RADV.org could place encouragement and resources in front of someone at the moment they need them most.
You do not have to ask them personal questions or pressure them to explain. You can simply say:
“I found this website and thought you might find something encouraging here.”
That small act could become part of someone’s bridge toward safety, healing, and a new beginning.
To every survivor reading this:
You survived. You matter. You made it this far. Keep going—one mile at a time. Your best miles are ahead.
Please share RADV.org with someone who might need encouragement today.
From my heart to yours,
Dave Beatty
Founder, Riders Against Domestic Violence
We Are the Bridge.
