There are seasons when you pray, wait and wonder whether God has heard you.
You ask for a safe way out. You pray for healing, direction or the strength to begin again. Yet nothing seems to change as quickly as you need it to. Every closed door feels like rejection, and every delay makes the road ahead seem longer.
Waiting is especially difficult when you are already hurting.
But God’s timing is not proof that He has forgotten you. Sometimes He is working beyond what you can see—preparing a way forward, placing the right people along your path or strengthening you for the next mile.
That does not mean you should remain in danger while waiting for a sign. Faith and action can travel together. Asking for help, creating a safety plan and taking steps toward protection are not failures of faith. God often answers prayers through people, resources and opportunities placed within reach.
A closed door may be protection. A delay may be preparation. A change of direction may be God guiding you toward a road you could not yet see.
You may not understand why your journey has taken so long. You may look around and feel as though everyone else is moving forward while you remain stuck in the same place. But your life is not running behind. Healing does not follow someone else’s schedule, and rebuilding cannot be rushed.
God is not measuring your progress against anyone else’s.
Keep taking the next safe step. Keep believing that your story is still being written. The road may be longer than you expected, but that does not mean you are lost.
One day, you may look back and realize that what felt like silence was God quietly preparing the way.
Trust the road. Trust the process. Most of all, trust that God has not forgotten you.
His timing may not always match yours, but His love has never left your side.
Your best miles are ahead.
