ESCAPE

Some people support a mission by standing at the front of the room. Others support it quietly—with a share, a comment, a conversation, or a link sent to someone who may need it.

Every one of those actions matters.

When you share an article from RADV.org, you are doing more than helping a website reach more people. You are using your voice to raise awareness about domestic violence, encourage survivors, and remind others that help and hope are still available.

You may never know who sees what you share.

It could reach someone who has been questioning whether what they are experiencing is abuse. It could give a survivor the words to explain what has been happening behind closed doors. It could reach a family member who finally begins to understand. It could remind someone who feels forgotten that they are still seen, still valued, and still worthy of a life without fear.

Sometimes one shared article becomes the first sign along someone’s road toward safety.

That is why I want to offer a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who visits RADV.org, reads the articles, shares our resources, talks about the mission, and uses their voice to raise awareness.

You are helping us build the bridge.

RADV was never meant to be only a website or a social media page. It was created to connect survivors with encouragement, trusted resources, and people who believe their story matters. Every time you help carry that message beyond our own pages, the bridge reaches a little farther.

You do not need a large following to make a difference. You do not need to be a public speaker, a professional advocate, or someone who always knows exactly what to say.

Sometimes advocacy looks like saying:

“I thought someone might need to read this.”

“This helped me understand.”

“You are not alone.”

“There are resources available when you are ready.”

A single voice can begin a conversation. Many voices can change the way a community sees domestic violence.

I am also deeply grateful to everyone who has supported my book, The Ride Back to Yourself: 100 Miles. That book was written for those who have survived difficult roads and are trying to find their way back to who they are. Each mile offers a moment of reflection, encouragement, and hope for the journey forward.

When you purchase the book, read it, recommend it, or share it with someone else, you are helping its message travel farther. More importantly, you may be placing encouragement into the hands of someone who needs to hear that healing does not have to happen all at once.

It can happen one choice, one breath, and one mile at a time.

To everyone who has shared an RADV article, visited the website, supported the book, worn the merchandise, spoken about domestic violence, or quietly checked on someone who might be struggling—thank you.

Your voice matters.

Your compassion matters.

Your willingness to share may be the reason someone realizes there is still a road forward.

Together, we are showing survivors that what happened to them does not determine where their story ends. We are reminding them:

You survived.
You matter.
You made it this far.
Keep going.

Your best miles are ahead.

We Are the Bridge.

With gratitude,
